This metropolis is far too bright
I try to see far past refracted lights
Home is everywhere, but I can’t find it
A startled ghost, lost in the spectrum
This is how the future used to sound
It was so fast, a short-lived moment
Swells of strings in basic essence
In the blink of an eye, pop of an ear
This vision was so clearer then
The rare bright whisper
In turgid water shines
A scream for me, 10 years ago
But I can only hear her now
The universe is pulling us apart
Tomorrow will be getting harder
So why are we waiting for the next thing?
There’s no after.
